A healthy dose of uncertainty about our capabilies and education level can be a powerful motivator, helping us achieve the necessary skills to be credible and impactful teachers.

But when we find ourselves signing up for endless training courses or passing up opportunities, it may be time to take a closer look at what's fueling our quest for credentials.

In this Internal Family Systems (IFS) workshop, you'll meet and befriend your imposter parts and find out what motivates their thought patterns and behaviors.

IFS is an evidenced-based therapeutic model for clearing unhelpful and unskillful habit energies while creating direct access points to your Self.

Through the IFS len, imposter parts are members of your team of protectors who work diligently and tirelessly to keep you from being exposed to deeply uncomfortable emotions.

What make IFS Parts Work unique in that instead of trying to talk yourself out of feeling like a fraud (spoiler: it doesn't work anyway), you get to know your imposters parts and find out what exactly they're protecting. Then, you can heal the wounded parts so that you no longer feel unworthy.

In this experiential workshop, you'll...

  • learn about common imposter parts and their beliefs
  • enter your inner terrain and connect with your imposter parts through meditative inquiry,
  • use journaling or drawing as tools for getting to know your parts, and
  • have opportunities to share about what you discovered in a caring container.

About Your Facilitator, Jennifer O'Sullivan:
I found yoga and mindfulness practices at a time when I was very under-resourced to meet the emotional challenges I was facing. I got lucky that I discovered a gentle, non-dogmatic teacher whose approach had a therapeutic lean. When I became a teacher myself, I foregrounded self-compassion, inner listening, and stress management practices in my classes.

In the nearly 20 years that I've been teaching these techniques, I've become very aware of what these practices can't do. While very good at revealing our unskillful thoughts and patterns, these ancient approaches don't offer strategies to meet and heal our wounds.

I'm now a Level 2 IFS Practitioner and enthusastic booster for Parts Work precisely because it offers yogis and mindfulness practitioners a very complementary way to compassionately befriend shadow parts. My clients frequently share that this work feels familiar and is a natural extension of their personal practice.
