Between Heaven and Earth
Introduction to Insight Yoga

In this introduction to Insight Yoga, we’ll explore the interplay of the energies of Heaven and Earth to cultivate ease and vitality throughout the body-mind while nourishing the quiet inner space where compassion and insight flourish. 

We’ll begin with a focus on the salient features of Buddhist mindfulness methods for fostering stability of attention and continuity of awareness.  Our asana practice will blend slowly flowing vinyasa movements with long-held yin postures that encourage mobility and stability, effort and ease, in service of balancing the sensitive energy body.  We’ll conclude our practice with heart-based methods for awakening the qualities of loving-kindness and compassion so that we may skillfully meet whatever arises.
